Terms of service

These terms apply when you use Techmo, a platform that connects ChangeMakers who organise impact work with Volunteers who contribute their time and skills. By creating an account or using Techmo, you agree to these terms.

Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Techmo.
• Give accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.
• Keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• Do not create an account in someone else's name.

Using Techmo responsibly

When you use Techmo, you agree not to:

• post false, misleading, harmful or illegal content;
• harass, exploit or discriminate against other people;
• use Techmo to send spam or to collect other people's information without permission;
• try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to Techmo or other accounts.

Volunteering and projects

Techmo helps people find each other; it is not a party to the arrangements ChangeMakers and Volunteers make. Each person is responsible for their own conduct, commitments and safety, and for checking that an opportunity is right for them.

Your content

You keep ownership of the information you add to Techmo. You give us permission to store and display it as needed to run the service, as described in our privacy policy.

Suspension and closing your account

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put others at risk. You can close your account at any time by emailing info@techforchangemakers.org.

Service availability

We work to keep Techmo available and secure, but it is provided "as is", and we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, Techmo is not liable for indirect losses arising from your use of the service.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a significant way, we will update this page and its effective date and let you know where appropriate. Continuing to use Techmo after a change means you accept the updated terms.
